Oh my goodness. Let's not mention God's name in any new government documents now. We have to be "careful"...of what?
Here is an email I just sent to my friend Kristin:
Grrr...so I'm reading this interesting article on Fox News. They are describing the "real" meaning behind the US seal (the one with the pyramid on the back of the $1 bill). Listen to how they describe our Founding Father's faith in God:
"That the words "Annuit Coeptis" ("Providence favors") and the eye of providence that hovers over the pyramid refer to unexpected interventions of fate that assisted the colonists in creating a new country." [emphasis mine]
Idiots. If "fate" or "providence" are so "powerful" as to "intervene" and "assist", then couldn't some other...um...logical conclusions be made about "it"? OBVIOUSLY it was something real to our Founding Fathers, but eludes today's people!
