Malachi is 3 years old today!
Malachi, at 3 years old you:
~talk very clearly and in long, complete sentences
~try to do everything your brothers do
~think that "share" means that Josh has to give you the toy you want
~still are not quite "potty trained"
~run very, very fast
~have a beautiful smile
~have the tale-tale white-blonde hair that all our kids had at your age
~are sometimes nervous to try new things
~overcame your fear of the lake and went in the water
~loved the lake after that
~are a picky eater
~can count to 9 by yourself
~repeat everything Josh says
~love to play "catch"
~love to draw, play with cars and with legos
~hate to sleep by yourself
~take naps in mommy's bed
~sleep with Micah at night
~sometimes actually sleep in your own bed
~are really a "Momma's boy"
~still some days earn the nickname "Mala-cry"
~think that pants or shorts are optional
~love all the shirts that Josh just passed on to you, but if it was a favorite of Josh's, you REALLY love it
You are a picky eater, and even though we offer you a variety of *healthy* foods, these are your favorite things to eat:
mac & cheese
pepperoni (straight out of the bag)
peanut butter & jelly
almost any kind of cracker
carrots with ranch dressing (though you don't actually EAT the carrot...it's more of a dipping stick...we're hoping that some day it will catch on)
chips, candy, and ice cream (of course)
Malachi, you are a pretty incredible kid. Some days you make me want to pull my hair out, but your smiles and cuddles melt my heart of stone. I have often wondered why God trusted you to my care. I know you are going to do big things, and I pray that your life brings glory to God!
