Nicaragua: July 31st

Steph didn't have much to say...

"So sorry I can't update tonight. We didn't get supper until after 10 p.m., so now I really need to crash.

I keep forgetting to mention that I have taken over 1,000 photos. Plenty of everyone, I hope. Also we start each day with 30 minutes of private devotions, 30 minutes as a group, and we end every day with a debrief. So, not just today but good times beginning and ending every single day so far.

All is well."

...but Josh posted on Facebook:

Sorry the updates have been sporadic. We just finished a 17 hour day, one of a couple this week. This was our last day of VBS in the village of Santa Elena.

God richly blessed us this week with lots of children (around 250 throughout the week) and countless opportunities to clearly share the Gospel. We saw 30 children submit to Jesus Christ as King and receive His free gift of salvation this week! We are rejoicing with the heavenly hosts and ascribing all glory to God!

It was an emotional last day in the village as we said goodbye to the pastor, church members, and many children. We are resting now in the fact that through Christ we will all be reunited one day in the presence of the glory of God, where pain and sorrow will be no more.

God has blessed us with good health and a team full of flexible attitudes as we adjust to an ever-changing schedule (if we can call it that).

Pray for us these next couple days as we visit a school tomorrow, a leper colony Saturday, and an international church Sunday morning. Also pray for our time of debrief; that students and leaders would thoroughly process all that God has done and prepare to return home to continue our mission of making more and maturing disciples of King Jesus!
